In the latest Gramophone Podcast violinist Tasmin Little talks to Editor Martin Cullingford about recording Vivaldi’s Four Seasons with the BBC Symphony Orchestra, and why she feels the work has such a popular appeal today.

For the new recording, Vivaldi’s famous piece is paired with a fascinating new work by composer Roxanna Panufnik, called Four World Seasons, in which she explores how the changing seasons affect different countries and cultures. Tasmin Little talks us through this new work, before the composer herself reflects on its inspiration and on the creative process of writing it.

'A Violin for All Seasons' is available from Chandos Records
